The museum was recently renovated to accommodate new exhibits and collections, and as part of the grand re-opening, AMFA aimed to create a microsite to enhance the visitor experience. The main goal was to provide visitors with a map of the exhibits and interactive audio tours. The map would enable visitors to navigate the museum easily and locate specific exhibits. The audio tours would provide visitors with in-depth information about the exhibits in both English and Spanish, including details about the artist, the time period, the medium, and other relevant information.
I joined the project following the approval of the wireframes. My task consisted in translating the wireframes into color prototypes for both desktop and mobile formats, in line with the museum's brand guide. Additionally, I designed vector maps for the various buildings, floors, and outdoor areas, along with legend icons to complement them. In total, five maps were created and incorporated into the design. Finally, to ensure a smooth user experience, I performed a usability test at the end of the project.
