Central Moloney, Inc. (CMI) recently undertook a visual identity update and was now looking to revamp its website. The existing site had significant shortcomings in both aesthetic appeal and functionality. CMI aimed for the new design to resonate beyond just customers and shareholders; they aspire for it to serve as a source of pride for corporate employees, skilled workers, and the surrounding communities.
To accomplish this, we collaborated closely with the CMI marketing team to identify the key features and content requirements that align with their growth goals. Essential elements included a sleek and modern design, ease of updates, and the integration of new sections such as a blog, case studies, in-depth employee stories, and an online store. After the kickoff meeting, the team developed a sitemap reflecting the new content structure. I then explored various design ideas in order to create the perfect blend of boldness, professionalism, and uniqueness, consistent with the new brand direction. Afterward, I designed a set of wireframes and collected feedback. Following a few rounds of revisions, I transformed them into interactive prototypes for mobile and desktop formats. Finally, I conducted a usability test to ensure compliance with the project requirements.
